Diplomat Communications recruits four new employees!

Diplomat Communications continues to grow and recruits four new employees. Frida Granath and Maria Ricksten join as Associates, together with Henrik Hedlund and Louise Bjerrek who join as Junior Associates as part of Diplomat’s trainee program 2022/2023.

Maria Ricksten, Associate, has previous experience of working as a consultant in strategic policy development at the European consulting company Technopolis Group. In her previous consulting role, Maria assisted public decision-makers with evidence-based data for policy development in the fields of research and innovation (R&I), sustainable urban development, skills supply and labor market issues, as well as digital transformation. She has previously worked as a consultant for public sector clients such as Vinnova, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and the EU Commission, among others. Maria holds a master’s degree in political science with a focus on European Affairs and EU law. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from Lund University.

Frida Granath, Associate, has a previous background in the security industry where she worked as an analyst for a security company. She has previously worked in the political sphere, including as press secretary at the think tank Frivärld and as a trainee for the Moderates in the European Parliament. In addition, Frida has experience as an intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ unit for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.  She holds a master’s degree in Russian and Eurasian studies from Uppsala University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Gothenburg.

Henrik Hedlund, Junior Associate, holds two master’s degrees in political science from Stockholm University and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Lund University. Prior to joining Diplomat Communications, Henrik completed an internship at the Swedish Consulate General in Hong Kong and worked as a research scholar at the Swedish Center for China Studies.

Louise Bjerrek, Junior Associate, holds a master’s degree in commercial law from Lund University and a bachelor’s law degree from Örebro University. During her legal studies, Louise also gained experience from the financial sector through internships at Nordea and the capital management firm Öhman.
